Summer Makeup Tips

It doesn’t matter if you have a simple or complex makeup routine, when the heat & humidity go up there are new rules to follow. Here are a few must know tips and tricks to make doing your makeup in the summer a breeze.

Lighten up

Instead of using foundation switch to a tinted moisturizer. It feels so much better on your face and helps to avoid looking cakey as you sweat.

Change how you contour

Use a darker liquid foundation or liquid bronzer to contour versus a powder or contour stick. It will hold up longer in the heat and is less likely to fade off.

Pull double duty

Use bronzer in the crease of your eyes for eyeshadow instead of packing a full eyeshadow palette.

Be strategic with blush placement

Apply blush to your nose and forehead (only a bit) for a natural “sun burn/tan” look.

Less is more

Brow gel is the perfect alternative to filling in your brows. Finish with waterproof mascara and you’re almost done!

Make it stay put

Setting spray really works. Throw it in your purse along with blotting sheets to absorb access oil and sweat.
