Simple Iced Coffee Recipe…with a Twist

It’s officially time to make the switch from hot to iced coffee! Save your money for gas this summer and make iced coffee at home. You won’t believe how easy it is, there’s no fancy equipment and only 3 ingredients. Let’s get started.

Don’t brew your own, just buy the bottle at the grocery store.

Maybe that’s not the cool thing to say, but this tastes just as good without the hassle.

Here’s what you need:

  • cold brewed coffee

  • flavored syrup of your choice

  • milk or creamer

  • ice

Grab two cups

Fill one cup all the way with ice.

Add 2 pumps of flavored syrup (I like torani syrups and they are easy to find).

Add coffee & milk

Leave enough room for a splash of milk or creamer.

Mix it up

Pour the drink back and forth between the cups to mix it all together.

After mixing a few times pour the iced coffee into a new glass, pop in a straw and voila! That’s it.

Some Things:

  • I use these pumps that are perfect for a 25oz torani syrup. If you have a smaller bottle you’ll need to cut the pumps or eyeball it to your liking.

  • The favorite cold brew in my house is La Columbe but we also love the Starbucks dark roast. If you like an even stronger brew plus the convenience of prime there is a good boxed coffee Wandering Bear that we liked as well.

Now Let’s make it a Cocktail!

It’s the perfect caffeine boosted pick me up drink and much easier than making an espresso martini. If you like coffee, you’ll get it.

  1. Follow the exact instructions above but before you shake it up add 1 shot of kahlúa.

  2. Drizzle chocolate or salted caramel sauce along the inside of a new glass.

  3. Pour the coffee mixture in then top with a dollop of whipped cream and caramel drizzle.

There you have it.

Maturity in a cup.
